How Ottimate Helped Tender Greens Increase Efficiency and Reduce Costs During a Time of Growth
As they were growing and increasing their number of locations across California, Tender Greens relied on three full-time employees to process their accounts payable (AP). The process was time consuming and costly. Many invoice PDFs were being emailed to the Tender Greens team by vendors, and the team had to sift through emails, download PDFs, and manually enter the invoice data into Sage Intacct. This manual process opened up the risk for invoices to slip through the cracks, never to be processed.
To make things more challenging, some invoices were uploaded to Dropbox, where the team not only had to download them, but then compare with the rest of the invoices to ensure no duplicates existed, before filing and organizing them.
With rapid growth on the horizon and plans to add to their 20+ locations, this process was simply not scalable. Tender Greens knew they needed to find a better way to address their mounting pile of invoices.

Using EDI transmission for a majority of their vendor invoices, Tender Greens AP staff were able to have all invoice PDFs sent to a single email address, where they were automatically captured and uploaded into the Ottimate system. From there, all invoice data were synced with their ERP, Sage Intaact.
Thanks to Ottimate, Tender Greens was able to cut their bookkeeping costs in half — while simultaneously increasing their total number of locations.
